If you are already abroad

1. Your travel insurance will automatically be extended, without charge, to provide cover until you return to the UK, where the failure to return is beyond your control.

2. If your return flight to the UK has been delayed or cancelled, please contact your airline/tour operator. EU Regulation 261/2004 confirms the airline is responsible for providing compensation, including accommodation costs where necessary.

3. For those travellers that have been told by the airline not to check-in, you may claim, (under these special arrangements), under the Travel Delay section of your AllClear policy. Just send a copy of a letter from the airline stating the nature and term of the delay, with your claim form for consideration.

4. If you need to speak to our emergency medical team about your medical conditions, or medication and you are an AllClear Personal or AllClear Treatment Abroad policyholder please call 00 44 208 736 3119. For AllClear Cruise policies please call 0845 271 2457.

If you are yet to travel

1. Please contact your airline/tour operator for details in relation to alternative travel arrangements. Under EU Regulation 261/2004 the airline is required to offer an alternative flight or compensation.

2. Your AllClear Travel Insurance provides cover under the Travel Delay and Abandonment section, (under these special arrangements). For information please refer to your policy booklet, you will need to obtain a letter from the airline stating the nature and term of the delay and send this with your claim form.

3. If you have received a refund from your airline/tour operator and wish to receive a refund of your travel insurance (under these special arrangements) please return your policy document, with written confirmation from your airline/tour operator to AllClear Insurance Services. We will then arrange this for you.

4. If you have rebooked your trip and want to amend your insurance please call 0845 250 5250.
