It’s no secret that Spain is a favourite holiday haven for many brits!

A survey conducted by ABTA, the UK’s largest travel association, revealed that 29.3% of people said they planned to visit the country this year. Making Spain the most popular holiday destination for 2022.

However, as the summer holiday season approaches, it’s essential to keep up-to-date with the latest travel rules

Covid Travel rules for Spain

To enter Spain, you will need:

  • Proof of full vaccination
  • Proof of recovery from coronavirus

If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to fill out a pre-travel health form.

Masks are no longer legally required in most public spaces.

Covid Travel rules for the Canary Islands

Like mainland Spain, you will need:

  • Proof of full vaccination
  • Proof of recovery from coronavirus

All travellers must fill out a pre-travel online form before visiting the Canaries.

Some accommodations will need you to show proof of a negative coronavirus test – check with your tour operator or travel agent.

Covid Travel rules for the Balearic Islands

To enter the Balearics, you will need proof of full vaccination.

Unfortunately, the Balearics Tourism Board website states that proof of recent recovery or a negative coronavirus test will not be accepted for travellers arriving from the UK.

Anyone entering the Balearic Islands will need to fill out a pre-travel health check form online.
