What does the GHIC cover in Spain?
The Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) entitles you to the same quality of healthcare that a Spanish resident has. However, there may be medical costs that GHIC cannot cover, such as repatriation costs. While the GHIC card is not a substitute for comprehensive Travel Insurance, it is useful. You can apply for a GHIC here.
Do I need a visa to go to Spain?
If you’re planning a trip to Spain or other destinations in the Schengen area, you’ll be delighted to know that you can visit visa-free for up to 90 days.
How do I get a visa for Spain?
If you wish to stay in Spain longer than 90 days you’ll need to meet the entry requirements set out by the Spain Government. To get a visa you should visit the Spanish consulate in the UK to find out what type of visa you require.
