Healthcare in Singapore

The standard of healthcare services in Singapore is excellent and widely available. However, it is expensive.

Some UK prescribed drugs aren’t available in Singapore. So, if you are travelling with medication, it’s essential to take enough medication to cover your stay. Carry documents, such as a prescription and a letter from your doctor explaining the medication, to make sure it isn’t confiscated.

Travellers should get a tetanus shot before travelling. There is a small risk of getting some mosquito-borne viruses, such as Dengue fever and the Zika virus.

If you need emergency medical assistance during your trip, dial 995

The TravelHealthPro page on Singapore recommends that you speak to your GP at least 4 before your trip to check whether there are any vaccinations needed.
