Kos in June

One of Greece’s most popular hotspots, the island of Kos, was first mentioned in Homer’s Iliad. June sees average temperatures of just over 32 °C and no rainfall to speak of. If you don’t like to be too warm on holiday, head to Kos in June, before the July and August highs of over 35 °C.

Athens in June

Madrid has an inland Mediterranean climate, meaning it’s hot and sunny with little rain in June. While the average is around 30 °C, heatwaves are not unheard of at this time of year and can reach up to 39 °C.
