What is Thailand Travel Insurance, and why do you need it?
Thailand is a popular travel destination for Brits. Approximately 450,000 Brits visit Thailand each year.
While Thailand is fun and popular with tourists, it is not without risk. Moped injuries, lost wallets, or trips and falls are a few ways your holiday could be impacted. But with Travel Insurance from AllClear, you’re covered, including if you have a pre-existing medical condition. Plus, we cover lost luggage, cancelled holidays2 and travel delays.
Thailand is a well-travelled tourist destination, but accidents can be common. Travel Insurance is a must-have if you’re going to visit. This is why:
- It is common for British tourists to have holiday mishaps in Thailand. In 2023, one man’s family had to pay £20,000 after he was in a motorbike crash, leaving him with serious injuries, including a fractured skull. He was not covered by his insurance provider.
- Medical repatriation from Thailand can be astronomically expensive. A British tourist who fell from a balcony needed to raise £250,000 to fly back to the UK for treatment. He didn’t have Travel Insurance, so the cost was self-funded.
- Brits may be unable to leave the country before settling their medical bills. This means some Brits are stranded in Thailand.
Getting the right Travel Insurance policy is the key to travelling with peace of mind. At AllClear, we can cover: All medical conditions. All ages. All destinations. 99.5% of our customers would consider buying from AllClear again3.
