What is Golf Travel Insurance, and do you need it?
Every golfer will testify that clubs aren’t cheap. If you’re heading on a golfing trip, the last thing you want is to lose your clubs. Or have them damaged without insurance in place. Lost equipment or pre-booked green fees could all cost you money if something goes wrong. Comprehensive cover is essential to make sure you’re protected while you’re abroad.
- Airlines losing golf clubs is common. Even big-name golfers have lost their clubs during transit. Famously, Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen lost his clubs during transit twice in ten days. Golf Travel Insurance means we’ll contribute towards the cost of hiring equipment. That means you can still play when you land.
- Airline liability is limited. The airlines have a duty to replace any lost luggage. But their liability might not cover the cost of new clubs. Golf Travel Insurance can help protect your beloved clubs.
- Amateur golfing can results in injuries. One study found that 62% of amateur golfers had sustained one or more injuries while playing. If this happens while you’re away, it’s important you are covered under your Travel Insurance Golf Travel Insurance protects you, ensuring you’re not stuck with an unexpected medical bill. We’ll also refund any Greens Fees if you can’t play due to illness.
Any good Travel Insurance policy will cover you for emergency medical expenses, but what about if you have a golfing accident? Are your clubs covered? What about greens fees? With AllClear, we’re here to cover you and your clubs. That means peace of mind, so you can focus on getting a hole-in-one!

Do you need Golf Travel Insurance?
Golf Travel Insurance is not legally required. However, it is highly recommended for golfers travelling abroad. The cost of Golf Travel Insurance is based on multiple factors. These factors include age, medical history, destination and length of trip. Each of these can vary between people and even between trips. Therefore, there is no standard, set price for Golf Travel Insurance.
Do you need to show receipts for my golf clubs to make a claim?
