Comprehensive Cover for Norway
Over the past few years Norway has become a more and more popular holiday destination for UK holidaymakers offering mountainous landscapes, green cities and a rich Viking history, steeped in folklore and historic stories of invasion and conquering. Norway’s close geographic placement with the UK has ensured a colourful relationship fueled by combat and integration that gives the beautiful country of Norway an ancestral place in our hearts.
Norway is a popular destination for fishing, walking, skiing and, of course, cruising. The stunning cruises along the Norwegian Fjords are in many bucket-lists and the glorious images of grandiose peaks overseeing beautiful clear waters has become an experience to covet for many. You can get specialist cruise travel insurance to ensure that you are covered in the wilderness of deepest Norway.
Thinking of Cruising along the Norwegian Fjords?

When in Norway’s vast wilderness, if you require emergency medical treatment it can be very difficult and very expensive. Even if you are staying on dry land and visiting one of Norway’s famous cities such as its stunning capital Oslo, you are still likely to be charged for any medical treatment or doctor seen. Even replaced prescriptions can be much more expensive abroad than at home. Let us cover all your needs with a five-star policy.

What Should a Good Insurance Policy for Norway Cover?
A good insurance policy will give you comprehensive cover over a number of sections and will also include a number of separate optional extras as well. Look for a policy that covers all your pre-existing medical conditions as well as any unforeseen circumstances. A good policy will also offer extra cover such as:
- Cancellation and curtailment – should you have to cancel your holiday due to unforeseen or pre-existing medical circumstance, then the right policy will ensure that you don’t suffer financial losses yourself
- Baggage and Personal Property – you can get your personal items covered including your passport should they get damaged, lost or stolen while away
- Tailored Optional Extras – a good policy might also offer you the chance to tailor your policy for your specifics such as skiing or cruises

- You must be fit to travel
- The FCDO must NOT have advised against travel to your destination - check the FCDO travel advice
- You must follow the local government advice for your destination, checking and following their guidelines and entry requirements
You can then be covered for emergency medical expenses and cancellation for a positive diagnosis of COVID-19, with AllClear travel insurance with enhanced Coronavirus cover. Existing policyholders should read our Frequently Asked Questions if your trip is affected by Covid-19.

EHIC (European Health Insurance Cards) will not cover you for some aspects of your cruise the same way an AllClear policy can. As of 31 Dec 2020, the current arrangements between the UK and the European Union (EU) will likely change and UK citizens may not get the same cover as before. Make sure your policy covers you for repatriation as well as the EHIC cards do not cover for medical transport back to the UK. For more information please visit our information about EHIC and Brexit.
