If you choose to explore Sardinia, you’re sure to have an incredible time. However, before you go, it’s important to stay up-to-date with the latest travel information by:
There are new and exciting ways to be able to travel this summer.
Chris Rolland, AllClear CEO, commented: “At AllClear, we care about making travel safe for people with medical conditions. We want to make sure freedom to travel is an equal right for everyone. Vaccination passports will play a key role in unlocking our freedom to travel as we return to the new normal.”
In fact, three in five British adults (61%2) back the introduction of vaccine passports and now that many countries are now accepting ‘proof of Covid vaccination‘ as a way to fulfil entry requirements, Brits once again have a real opportunity to travel.
While vaccinations help keep travellers safe, travel insurance is still essential for all holidaymakers. A policy with enhanced Covid-19 cover included can help protect you and your holiday when it comes to cancellation costs.
With AllClear, providing you choose a policy that includes cancellation, you’ll have generous cancellation cover up to £25k, giving you the reassurance you deserve.
Want to be confident in your choice? When buying travel insurance, look for high-quality cover that includes:
Emergency medical expenses – As long as you have declared all pre-existing medical conditions, this will help protect you against any unforeseen circumstances while you’re away.
Repatriation to the UK – This will cover the costs if you need to be medically transported back to the UK. The GHIC scheme does not provide cover for repatriation.
Cancellation and curtailment – cover for cancelling or cutting short your holiday.
Baggage and personal property – covering your personal property should they get lost, damaged or stolen while you’re away.
Travelling safely is more important than ever. As we all know, the unexpected can happen even on holiday. So, to avoid any emergency medical claims, you’ll need comprehensive travel insurance as you cannot rely solely on your Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). This is because a GHIC card does not provide cover for all circumstances.
Once your EHIC card has expired, you can request the GHIC card as a replacement. To do so, visit the official website.
Nestled around the Mediterranean are the Italian islands. With great food and plenty of sunshine – the islands offer Brits the opportunity to enjoy Italian culture. If you’re interested in exploring the islands, we also offer comprehensive travel insurance for:
Sicily Italy

Here’s what our customers have to say about us:
“Great policy for insurance with excellent medical and Covid cover. Customer service very good as are renewal prices.” – Tracey
Travel is possible from the UK to Sardinia. However, it is currently on the ‘Amber List’. If you choose to travel to Sardinia, you’ll need to take at least one pre-departure test, plus quarantine at home for 10 days upon return.
Before travelling, you’ll need to check that the travel insurance policy you have bought covers you for Sardinia’s entry requirements. For the most up-to-date travel advice – check the FCDO website.
When buying travel insurance, you must declare all pre-existing medical conditions. Failure to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions may affect the validity of your policy.
When getting a quote online, you’ll declare your pre-existing questions via a simple set of medical screening questions.
We know that sometimes it’s easier to speak to someone you can trust. So if you prefer you can call one of our specialists, who’ll help guide you through the process and arrange cover over the phone.
