When searching for travel insurance there are a few things to consider before making your choice. ook for a policy that includes:

Emergency medical expenses – This will help you to avoid any unexpected medical bills whilst travelling. However, you must remember to declare all pre-existing medical conditions to ensure you’re fully covered. 

Repatriation to the UK – Repatriation costs are not covered by GHIC. Without comprehensive travel insurance, you could face an extensive bill should the worst happen while you’re away.  

Cancellation and curtailment – protecting you against cancellation costs 

Baggage and personal property – if your bags or personal property get lost, damaged or stolen while you’re away.

Benefits of AllClear Cover

As a British citizen, you can apply for a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which will give you access to a certain level of care for a medical emergency when abroad in certain countries. To request a GHIC online, visit the official website.
