When you’re diagnosed with a heart condition, like arrhythmia (or irregular heartbeat), you might experience difficulty with finding good travel insurance. AllClear's arrhythmia travel insurance offers cover for pre-existing medical conditions, medical emergencies and cancellations.
Travel Insurance for arrhythmia covers you if you are currently living with an irregular heartbeat and wish to travel with peace of mind. This type of insurance covers you for medical emergencies and cancellations, even those related to COVID-19. Comprehensive arrhythmia Travel Insurance is vital to prevent unexpected medical bills and gives you the support you need if you have any medical problems while you are away. There are different types of arrhythmia, such as atrial fibrillation.
According to the NHS, an irregular heartbeat is experienced by more than 2 million people a year in the United Kingdom. While often a manageable medical condition, irregular heartbeat has the potential to lead to more severe heart conditions, including sudden cardiac arrest. Given that more than 100,000 hospital admissions occur every year due to heart attacks, it’s important to make sure that you’re protected while on holiday.
That’s why our policies are designed to offer irregular heartbeat Travel Insurance that is not only affordable but fully comprehensive. We recognise that you are not just another statistic. Our aim is to provide travel insurance for people who may otherwise struggle to be insured elsewhere – and we’re proud to have covered over half a million people for their pre-existing medical conditions since the year 2000.
Many standard Travel Insurance policies will exclude or decline cover for medical conditions like arrhythmia. Therefore, it’s vital that you declare your condition to a specialist travel insurance provider. This will ensure you have the comprehensive cover in place that you need.
If you don’t declare your condition and have a medical emergency while on holiday, you could be left with an expensive hospital bill, as any claim could be invalidated. Furthermore, in some countries such as Spain and the USA, hospital costs can be extremely high.
If you have a heart condition it’s always best you take out travel insurance with a medical specialist travel insurance provider. At AllClear we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to travel, this includes those living with a heart condition. We have been proud specialists since 2000, for travel insurance you can trust – get your quote today!
Most people living with an irregular heartbeat are able to fly. However, It’s always best to check with your doctor before travelling or booking a holiday. Your airline may also require you to have a fit-to-fly certificate before travelling.
With an annual multi-trip policy you can take as many trips as you want within a 12 month period.
For annual multi-trip cover (on AllClear Gold and Gold Plus policies), there is a maximum holiday length of 31 days if you are over 70. In addition, if you are under 70 the maximum holiday length is 45 days. With an annual multi-trip policy for travel insurance for arrhythmia, all trips must start and end in the UK.
When planning a trip longer than 45 days, a single trip quote might be a better option. This is also the case if you are only planning one trip in the year.
