Santorini Travel insurance is essential. When it comes to travel, it’s best to be prepared with comprehensive medical travel insurance. The right level of cover will help you avoid any unexpected emergency medical bills and cancellation costs while you’re away.
Part of the Cyclades islands complex, Santorini is known for its white cube-shaped buildings. The village’s iconic architecture contrasts against the surrounding blue accents of sky and sea.
When visiting Santorini, you’ll have the chance to experience sensational sunsets, explore volcanic craters, all while taking in what the Greek culture has to offer.
Before you go, there are a few extra things to consider as part of your holiday preparations for travelling during the Covid-19 pandemic:
Many Brits are hoping to enjoy a holiday this summer. In fact, 56%2 of adults we suveyed say holidays as more important to them since the start of the pandemic. With three in five British adults (61%3) backing the introduction of vaccine passports and more destinations being added to the ‘Green List‘ – there is now a real opportunity to travel overseas.
Chris Rolland, CEO of AllClear, says, “our research clearly suggests that the majority of people are willing to do as much as they can to regain their freedom to travel.”
While this is excellent news for those that are double vaccinated, Travel Insurance with Covid cover remains essential. It offers you protection against cancellation costs if you contract Covid or need to isolate before you go.
So that you can plan a holiday with confidence, AllClear offers generous cancellation cover up to £25k.
Everyone and every holiday is unique, so you need to find travel insurance that suits your individual needs. When searching the market, look for a policy that includes:
Emergency medical expenses – helps you to avoid paying out for any unexpected medical bills while you’re away. But you must declare all pre-existing medical conditions during the screening process for your policy to be valid.
Repatriation to the UK – covers the cost of medical transport back to the UK. This is not covered by the GHIC.
Cancellation and curtailment – covers you if you need to cancel or cut short your trip.
Baggage and personal property – covers you for lost, damaged or stolen property while you’re away.
Travel insurance is the only way to protect yourself against large unexpected medical bills when travelling abroad. The Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) scheme doesn’t cover all circumstances.
There are many Greek islands dotted around the Mediterranean; why not experience them all?
We offer comprehensive travel insurance for:
Greece Cyprus Crete Mykonos
Here’s what our customers have to say about us:
“I phoned up today to take up travel insurance. It’s usually not an experience l enjoy, but today i must admit it was a pleasure to be guided through it by Karen.
The price was also reasonable compared to other companies, so going by today’s experience, l will be using this company again. Thank you, Karen.” – Monica
Greece and the Greek islands have been welcoming tourists since 15th May. If you wish to travel to Santorini or any of the other islands, check the FCDO to ensure that you’re able to fulfil the entry requirements.
If you haven’t received the full course of the Covid-19 vaccine, you can only travel to ‘Green List’ destinations without having to quarantine when returning to the UK.
If you have received the full course of the Covid-19, you can travel to ‘Green List‘ and ‘Amber List’ destinations without having quarantine when returning to the UK from the 19th July 2021.
As of the 13th of July, Santorini is on the Amber list.
